“Classic cars and watches embody the pursuit of ultimate precision,” rhapsodised Lange CEO Wilhelm Schmid on the shores of Lake Como, “and an aesthetic principle that follows the proportions of art.”
The cars that descended on the Italian town last weekend did little to counter Schmid’s claim. From 1953 Abarth 205 Sport to a 1952 Maserati A6G/2000, the event celebrated the 90th anniversary of the world’s longest running Concours d’Elegance in inimitable style.
At the awards ceremony, Schmid awarded David Sydorick a white gold Lange 1 Time Zone “Como Edition”, hand engraved for this special occasion — and to celebrate Sydorick’s ‘Best of Show’ AlfaRomeo 8C 2900B from 1937. Take a look at the rest of the entries below.
