Last night, Champagne Armand de Brignac, owned by Mr Shawn ‘Jay-Z’ Carter, unveiled the new Blanc de Blancs en Magnum, of which less 1,000 bottles have been created globally.

In the elegant setting of Casa Cruz, guests including Alice Temperley, Stephen Webster, Nick Hendrix, Pietro Boselli and Sabrina Percy were among the 60 VIPs attending, who were also the first to taste the Champagne in the UK.

Also present were Georgiana Huddart, Hedvig Opshaug, Jemima Cadbury and Scott Wimsett, in the dimly lit, plushly carpeted world of Casa Cruz, a vision of Chilean-born Juan Santa Cruz. And where better to launch the new bottling of Blanc de Blancs en Magnum – which is now available to buy in Selfridges, RRP £1,650.

To accompany the wine, guests also ate oysters shucked before their eyes, as well as jamon, quails eggs and a selection of cheeses, all chosen to bring out the flavours in the Blanc de Blancs en Magnum. The guests drank 10 out of the 1000 magnums that have been made globally.
