Thank goodness it’s the end of the week — because this week’s Editor’s Pick is raiding the drinks cabinet, popping corks and pouring itself all over the best in barware. Of course, other things have caught our eyes in the past seven days — from a selection of rather striking outerwear to a new beefed-up motorbike — but we’ve never been so convinced that our home bars need an overhaul.

Drink up: Johnnie Walker Grand Voyage
Here’s a fun bit of history. When Johnnie Walker first began bottling, savvy management at the distillery decided to educate world-sailing ship captains to be their ambassadors. The bottles — square to fit more in crates — were then loaded onto their vessels and sold around the four corners of the world.
This new experience, at Oblix at The Shard, is a flavour-filled journey through a selection of premium whiskies and luxury cocktails infused with global flavours, from Madagascar to Scotland. Prices start at £35, but we’d suggest you sample the Blue Package: 4 Johnnie Walker cocktails & 4 bar bites.
In wine there’s truth: L’Atelier Du Vin Oeno Connoisseur Wine Set
There are wine fanatics and then there are wine fanatics. This is very much a set for the latter. Housed in a wooden box with a carefully carved map of the world’s grape regions on the lid, this French-made kit comes with a whole host of the maison’s iconic tools, including a ‘Garçon’ bottle opener, patented ‘Bilame Anniversaire’ twin-blade corkscrew and ‘Oeno Motion Lever’ tool.
Gear up: Triumph Scrambler 1200
For the first time ever, Triumph’s new Scrambler 1200 line-up introduces the ultimate combination of 1200cc Bonneville twin power, class-leading ‘state-of-the-art’ rider-focused technology, beautiful modern custom styling, and peerless original design. It’s incredibly well-equipped — and, as such, will be taking part in the iconic Baja 1000 off-road race, exciting news for the British brand.
When life gives you lemons: Savernake G&T Slicer
How much do you value a perfectly-crafted gin and tonic? For the artisans over at Savernake Knives, the answer is a lot. A lot, a lot. While ordering G&Ts in their local bar, they were horrified to see the barman using a ‘horrible little serrated number’ to cut the lemon. Thankfully, as knife-makers, they were ideally placed to help. And this leadwood-handled offering can now help you too.
Dress up: Casely-Hayford Chiltern Street Store
On Chiltern Street, in Marylebone, father and son duo Joe and Charlie Casely-Hayford have opened their first flagship store. The independent fashion house’s store will house both ready-to-wear collections and an atelier, offering the brand’s made-to-measure and their bespoke service. Pop in this weekend.
