Deep dive: Omega Seamaster Diver 300M ‘Beijing 2022’ Special Edition
Despite it looking likely that the Summer Olympics will be postponed for yet another year, Omega will be back as official timekeepers for the Winter Games in Beijing next year. This stainless steel Seamaster, released to celebrate the partnership, has a unique titanium bezel ring and five special Olympic Ring minute markers. A subtle but sincere tribute to the Games.
Neat trick: Glenfiddich Chinese New Year 21-Year-Old Single Malt
Uniquely designed by emerging illustrator Rlon Wang, Glenfiddich’s new Chinese New Year 21-Year-Old Single Malt tells the story of ‘The Great Homecoming’ — the inimitable feeling of returning home to your loved ones at times of celebration. Back in the saddle: Husqvarna Svartpilen 125 Motorcycle
Steve McQueen was a man who liked his motorcycles. And, among his favourites, a 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross was perhaps his most treasured — shown off by the star in On Any Sunday. So, surely, The King of Cool would approve of Husqvarna’s exceedingly affordable new Svartpilen 125 model — a single-cylinder, scrambler-style introduction to his best-loved Swedish brand.
What’s your beef: Hawksmoor 35 Day Dry-Aged British Prime Rib
For those of you hankering for a good steakhouse dinner, we’ve got excellent news. Hawksmoor, perhaps the best (and certainly the beefiest) restaurant in Britain, has this week launched its award-winning cuts of prime meat on Ocado. This is our pick of the tender bunch; a 35 Day Dry-Aged British Prime Rib that’ll bring tears to your eyes and rumbles to your stomach.
Gown and out: Turnbull & Asser Gold Paisley Silk Dressing Gown
For all the drawbacks of lockdown, the dressing gown market has been booming. Many of our favourite brands have doubled, or even tripled their offerings of sumptuous silk robes. We were forced to take a break from skiing holidays this year — although we still enjoyed a little aprés-ski action.
