Orlebar Brown launch an exclusive collection inspired by James Bond

We all have different poolside styles. Some of us prefer to pare things back when we head on holiday, whereas others would rather peacock with louder prints and bolder colours. But, whether your warm weather wardrobe is subtle, striking, shaken or stirred, there’s one style icon we can all equally admire: James Bond.
From Thunderball’s Connery to Skyfall’s Craig, dressing to the nines like 007 will never fail to turn heads by the pool or the bar. Timeless, classic and effortless, Bond’s beachwear has remained the height of fashion since he first hit the big screen back in 1962.
It makes sense, then, that when British brand Orlebar Brown were looking for inspiration for their latest capsule collection of resort wear, they turned to the 007 film franchise for inspiration and collaboration.
Last summer, the clothing brand brought us an exciting, but limited edition collection of Bond-inspired swimwear. This year, the second 007 range has sashayed out of the ocean, and is also offering footwear, shirts and jackets influenced by the superspy’s most stylish scenes.
Among our favourite pieces, there’s the Dr No Towelling Robe — influenced by the scenes in which Bond and Ursula Andress’ Honey Ryder are held captive in the titular villain’s headquarters. We also can’t wait to button up a faithful recreation of the linen shirt Sean Connery wears in Thunderball, or a Safari Jacket with shades of Roger Moore and The Man With The Golden Gun.
Of course, if you’re feeling particularly bold, we’d recommend slipping into Sean Connery’s iconic Goldfinger Onesie, a towelling all-in-one similar to that worn by 007 when he investigated the bullion tycoon’s suite at the Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami.

We recently jetted off to Lake Como, where Bond famously fell in love with Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale, for the launch of this special range. And, along with Eric Underwood, Jarrod Scott, Richard Kyle and Oliver Proudlock, we brought vintage Bond style bang up to date.
