Well would you take a look at this. If the 1960s Porsche 911 wasn’t handsome enough, Paul Smith has only gone and slapped his signature stripes all over it. Now, just days after competing at the Le Mans Classic, it’s on its way to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend.
The Artist Stripe paintwork continues inside, and the roll cage is painted dark green to match the front section of the car. The racing seat cushions are trimmed in a fireproof petrol blue, and the balsa wood ‘917’ style gear knob has been hand-signed by Paul Smith.
The car has been built as a personal project by James Turner: founder and director of Sports Purpose, a historic Porsche specialist based at the Bicester Heritage site.
