The 2024 Venice Film Festival is a big menswear show
Now in its 81st year, the Venice Film Festival is one of the most stylish occasions on the calendar
The glittering Venice Film Festival 2024 is in full swing. Held down on the Lido di Venezia and hosted by La Biennale di Venezia, it is, alongside the Cannes Film Festival, the starriest film fest in the world. Judging from this year's turn out, we'd go as far as suggesting that it might be even more of a star-studded affair than France's historic event, with swarms of critically-acclaimed actors, directors and writers arriving by on the pontoons of Venice.
Spanning almost two weeks, it's a festival that is as much about the clothes as it is the films that bring the stars to the canals. The 2024 Venice Film Festival kicked off Tim Burton’s big sequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, while newcomer Harris Dickinson and Nicole Kidman brought the style to the Babygirl premiere. Meanwhile veteran actors Adrian Brody and Jude Law brought the usual high octane glamour to the event.
Harris Dickinson
British actor and Babygirl star Harris Dickinson's time to shine on the red carpet came after he made a stylish entrance in full Bottega Veneta.
And later at the Babygirl premiere, Dickinson ensured all paparazzi lenses were on him in a custom Prada suit.
Adrien Brody
Brutalist actor Adrien Brody kept things classic in a black Dior suit, which he complemented with a massive brooch, true Brody style.
Before he tried out a little spezzato.
Lucien Laviscount
Lucien Laviscount wore a Burberry suit that was louche and boxy in all the right places.
Nicholas Hoult
Venice Film Festival, like Cannes, isn't just about red carpets and superbly cut suits. Nicholas Hoult brought some edge to The Order photocall in a Bottega Veneta jeans and blazer combo.
Justin Theroux
While Justin Theroux went tieless in white (by way of Zegna) at the Beetlejuice premiere.
Joe Alwyn
Joe Alwyn was on hand to promote The Brutalist, and did so in a sleek Gucci suit.
