To celebrate 20 years of Chopard Manufacture, the iconic watch marque’s full-fledged manufacture in Fleurier, Switzerland, Gentleman’s Journal has profiled five young, stylish and successful entrepreneurs who, like the craftsmen at Chopard, have turned their passions – from the worlds of art, food, clothing and music – into their careers. You’ve already seen Sam Way, and here’s the next in the series, Chris Weston.
Always wanting to be a self-made man, Chris seized the opportunity early on to become his own boss. Now, he has created his own country clothing company, Wexton, and is just about to launch a new range of contemporary waxed-cotton jackets. Citing failure as his greatest fear, Weston turned this negative emotion into a positive and coined the mantra: ‘Make this work, because I’m not prepared to let it fail.’
Chris wears the L.U.C Lunar Big Date, £22,120. Visit Chopard here.
