What’s On This Week

Kaitlin Dunning doesn’t disappoint with her 5 excellent choices of what’s on this week. So let’s take a look at what’s in store for us over the next few days.

What to Watch in The Cinema – Zero Dark Thirty

The gut-wrenching happenings of September 11, 2001 brought the entire nation of America to it’s knees. It also brought a strong desire for revenge. It inspired a hunt, and the game was to find Osama Bin Laden. Jessica Chastain stars as a very believable CIA analyst named Maya. In Zero Dark Thirty, Maya leads a team of top agents that have been ordered to find Bin Laden at any cost. The script is very factually accurate, and rings true of the real life happenings in this decade-long hunt. Although it is quite a lengthy film at 157 minutes, it’s action packed and interesting through its entirety. Make sure you have enough popcorn and a large drink to last you through til the end!

Where to Take Her – The Comedy Store

Comedy-Store-660

The Comedy Store is the king of London comedy clubs. This club had a very modest beginning, starting off as a room above a psychedelic strip club in the 70’s. Now, this baby is all grown up and has evolved into one of the most respected and famous brands in real, live comedy. Although side-splitting comedic acts can be found here almost every day of the year, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights host the best talent. Attending a gig at The Comedy Store is the best way to ensure your weekend truly is a laugh.

What to Drink – Champagne at SearcysJust like our readers, Searcys Champagne Bar is sophisticated and timeless. Champagne, is the epitome of class. When you pair this luxuriously golden bubbly drink with the opulent venue of Westfield London, you get the perfect ingredients for a top private party, or just an evening of champagne tasting. Gucci, Tiffany & Co, Prada, and Louis Vuitton stores are conveniently located nearby. The only thing better than some shopping is a bit of retail therapy with a champagne buzz. Cheers to bubbly!

Where to Go – Upper West LondonUpper West London- Kings Club has received a massive makeover. After 6 months, and many a pound spent, this Kings Road venue has been transformed into a posh club, known as Upper West London/Madisons Basement Bar. You may be in the upper west side of London, but the ambiance mirrors that of the chic upper east side of New York City. As this is a members only club, it is the place to see and be seen! This new club will feature crafted cocktails, gourmet American style finger food, and fresh sushi. Dress to impress, and expect to dance the night away with top DJs playing house music and the coolest current tunes.
